Remarks  The Bechterew Prize 2011 was awarded to Lisbeth MOGENSEN, cand.scient.san., chief physiotherapist, The Danish Rehabilitation Institution Montebello, Malaga, Spain and consultant physiotherapist Jens Ole RASMUSSEN, Odense. They have conducted an investigation into the effect of three weeks' intensive supervised exercises for AS patients with six months of follow-up.

In order to highlight the specific problems of spinal fractures in AS an article on the subject has been published in a magazine targeting genral practitioners, (Erlendsson J. Columna frakturer ved morbus Bechterew, Månedsskrift for almen praksis, 12, 2011, 1017-1020.
